    London/UK gals... is everyone okay?

Hope all our gals in the UK are fine and your families, as well. Please let us know how you're doing. What a horrible day.

this makes me sick... and angry... and sad... my T's and P's are with all those injured, dead, their families and all those who are now in fear due to this act of cowardice... and also for Tony Blair and the other leaders of England...
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the UK -- or who have family there. I was back East during 9/11 and I'll never forget the sick, dark, fearful feeling that entered my life then -- and to some extent, hasn't really left entirely.

We're defending the world against terrorism? Gimme a break. Terrorists -- foreign and homegrown. hint. -- will find any reason to create bloodshed. It's literally what they live for.

What we can do: be there for those who need help, live honestly and compassionately, and keep enjoying the ride, rocky as it gets.

If only the world was run by women...

    Cheers girls.

I was on the tube this morning, but thankfully I was at work by the time the first bomb went off. I do know a couple of people who work near one of the sites, but everyone I know seems to be safe and well.

I've just woken up to this news and couldn't believe what I was hearing.
It brings back the same, crushing, dark feelings that came with the 9/11 series of events.
I don't think there are any words that can put the emotions into any form of coherence. We can never really protect against terrorists; they are by nature opportunistic, subversive and dispassionate about human life. Anyone who can justify the deaths of innocent people will never be reasoned with - particularly those who aim to kill the maximum number of innocent victims.
I'm not a Bush/Blair fan, to say the least, and don't believe that bombs/wars solve any more than negotiations round the table. As on-yer-left said, terrorists live and die for their cause.
Thank God the emergency services were so well prepared and co-ordinated - and hopefully saved many lives in the process.
Home seems so far away at the moment. I don't live in London, but times like these make you want to be with your loved ones and family, telling them how much you love them.

Hi, programmes here in NZ were interrupted at about 10pm local time - thats about 11 in the morning in London
Ah... felt sick... only have one friend in London I know (physically) - not heard from yet - but also was thinking of all of the girls here, and your families that live or work in/near London.
TL... pleased to hear you have not been affected - reports are (so far) that no kiwis have been killed or injured, but we're only 12 hours out from it so who knows
    Take care, lovely ladies

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Acts of terrorism always saddens me: they are so violent and non-discriminating to age, race, religion, or background and serve no purpose except to get someones name or group in the headlines. My heart, prayers, and sorrow go out to all the people affected by these senseless acts of cruelty.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I am nowhere near London, but you're not to know that perhaps, so I'm just checking in to let you know that me and mine are safe.

As I sat watching the television, my thoughts went back to 9/11 I felt the same hopelessness and sadness for all the people affected.
