I found my missing pirate sock.

After doing all the RAAM laundry I was down just one sock. But it's the pair I wore when I did Cinderella as captain on our tandem, so I was a little bummed. But it turned up in a corner of the luggage. Sometimes it doesn't take much to make me happy.

That would be a long way for your sock to travel, Crankin. What the heck did you do it make it so upset that it ran off with a Pirate to the west coast?

I'm with you, V. The little things can make you happy. Today, I took off a half day to get my car seviced, thinking it would take longer than the promised 45 mins. Well, to my surprise, they had it done in that amt of time. I spent a glorious sunfilled hour, in the pool, swimming away the work and "puppy at home" stress..... Gave me the courage to go home and face the latter. LOL.

A couple weeks ago I found a brand new SmartWool turtleneck that had been missing for months. For some reason, it was in a box of bike parts in the garage. But the bike stuff was dormant during ski season, so what the heck?

I also have a mismatched pair of mtbiking gloves with no explanation. Both are brand new. How could I lose 1/2 of two pairs at the same time? Maybe I'll find them once ski season returns.

Editing: I just ignored the hubster and went shopping in his drawers. Amazingly, he had a pair of gloves just like mine, even in the same XS size.

He probably hid my turtleneck out in the garage last winter also.
