If there is a race later in the afternoon/evening, what kind of food should you consume throughout the day? Do you eat foods with more protein? Fat? Carbs?

I eat whatever won't make me feel sick. So, I'll generally limit fat, dairy, and whatever wouldn't sit well in my stomach. Try to stay hydrated. Get something like your usual pre-race meal however many hours out you'd normally eat if the race was earlier.
