    Employment Question

I thought I would ask the collective minds here for some advice, as I am in a bit of a quandry as to what to do.

I am looking at a job that reqires 3 years experience in wildlife conservation management, biology or related field; or an equivalent amount of education and experience.

They do not want a resume. I need to fill out their forms. In doing so, I will be listing my most recent work sites and experiences. When I was going through College, I dealt with bird conservation at a local aviary. I basically taught classes and assisted where necessary around the Aviary. Not only that, all of my teaching experience will not show either.

So what should I do? Write a cover letter explaining these things and attach to their form application? My concern is that if they just have the plain application they are not seeing the whole picture of what I have done. As a result, I might get tossed out of the pile.

    Thankyou for your collective help.

A cover letter sounds good to me. Best of luck to you, Zoological jobs are hard to come by.

Have they specifically said, "Do not send a resume" in the posting? Or is a resume not required but permissible if attached to their completed form? If they've not specifically said not to send a resume at all, I think I would attach one to the form.

One more thing- is this a paper application or an electronic one? If it's electronic, is there an option to attach other materials?

Becky-yes, they specifically said that they do not accept resumes. Also, it is a paper application. Believe me, if there was some way I could attach something electronically I would.

Biciclista-yes, I was thinking cover letter too. I guess I should stop aging or something, when you have to go back ten years for information, it seems like a long time ago.

    Thankyou,
