Real food for the road, from team Garmin Slipstream (no longer Chipotle) Heavy on pork and dairy, but could be substituted I think.
Better in a feed bag than in your back pocket for hours, but might fit in a bento box.

These recipes need a bit of "lightening", at least even in taste.
'Afraid some of those energy-boosting recipes would sit sludge-like in my tummy.

My FDH found one of Lim's recipes for the rice cakes last year. We tried them and they weren't too bad. Just kind of strange having egg and bacon sitting in your back pocket in the heat all day. Pretty tasty and something completely different, however.

On the Team Garmin web site there are videos of Lim demonstrating the making and packing of the rice cakes, potato's and sandwiches. The wrapping method is cool and totally logical.
Thats funny. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned to my husband, enough with all this powerbars, to sweet and they don't work for me. Why not a sandwich or what ever... Now I read this. Potato with cheese would work in hot temperature but stuff with eggs nooooooo way.
Something to think about it
