    Lucky unluck

Went on a 80k ride this morning, including out on very empty country roads, with friends, no one with a pump, and two blocks from my house both tires went flat...wow! 80k good and only had to walk 2 blocks....how lucky is that!

Very lucky! Two years ago at Bike Virginia after a 75-mile ride, I was riding into the parking lot of the motel where I was staying and, PING, a spoke broke.

Very lucky. Don't count on getting that lucky again! Go out, get a pump that attaches to your bike.

I flatted 5 houses from my car!
Let's keep the good luck up this summer.
I am going to carry a spare though, just in case

For my first Hilly Hundred in Bloomington, I flatted just pumping up the tires...would have ruined a great day if I had been cursing the thing out on the road!
