Anyone know how to do a rain dance?

Several of our local counties, including the one my inlaws have one ranch in have had to declare a disaster because of the drought. They have considered selling most of the cattle because it is too costly to try to raise it in these conditions. With the tanks going dry they can barely get enough water for them and their isn't enough in the well to keep 100 head of cattle watered. Right now I would be happy to be stuck be inside for days if it for a good rain.

We just got a huge downpour of over 1/2 inch in less than 15 minutes. The streets are flooded just outside my office -- YIKES!

Yikes! No, we have flash floods around here so that would be scary. I want long steady rains, if it comes too quick we just have a different type of trouble. There is no winning, but we really need the rain.

There are certainly drawbacks to milder winters, huh? I know the rain is desperately needed down there. We're getting very dry up here, too. If you wash and wax your car it's almost certain to rain. For the farmer's sake, I'll be wishing for rain...

I got my car washed Friday, usually fool proof for me but not a drop. There is some in the forecast for Sunday. I will hope for that but just 20% won't be enough to save the cows and the crops.

Aggie, that's bad. I hope TX gets relief soon.

It always rained when I brought a new bike home. Maybe you should encourage your community to buy bikes.

3" in the gauge last night and then it started again slowly overnight and this morning! Heidi and Maggie and quite annoyed but I am pretty stoked. It is supposed to end today or tomorrow. Funny thing is that everyone knows the drought is so bad that I have yet to hear I single person whining about the rain needing to stop.

Oakleaf- I would be happy to tell it to head your way and take the cold. I wish it didn't come on a powerful cold front that stalled. High of 45 is cold in Texas. BRRRRR!

Nevermind finally heard someone whining. Of course it is a person who would whine if you hung her with a new rope. Seriously I can't complain, I would take another week if it would help. Sure I hate driving in it but once I am where I need to be I am fine!
