    When is a beginner's end?

When is a cyclist no longer a beginner?

    In your opinion, of course

Just guessing, but I'd think it would be when they don't feel like a beginner anymore.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few.

    That's quite wonderful.

Yup! That's it! Before I moved I was riding quite a bit on an older bike I was quite comfortable on . New bike, new town, new riders...I'm a beginier all over again, out of my comfort zone.

And yeah, tipping over counts too! I feel like I have to learn to ride clipless all over again as well!

the scars on your legs, from getting used to clipless pedals heal,
    THEN...
    its windy, you ride
    it rains , you ride
    your tired, you ride
you have your period, you ride
    your ill, you ride
your sick of riding, you ride.
you get up earlier and earlier, to ride.Sometimes its dark.
the clothesline seems to be taken up with more and more lycra.
You catch yourself discussing Tour de France team tactics with strangers.

    Thats when!

Oh, geez, I did that at month one. I was strapped in, not clipped. Does it still count? Ha!
