    Smile FBG is baaackkk

    I guess you old timers probably saw my name around the boards recently. I have finally recovered from my car accident January '07. I bought a road bike (yay!) to get my legs and heart back and started riding in earnest three weeks ago. I like cross-training!

    On New Years I took my DH on a 17 mile mtb ride with lots of climbing and amazing views of snow capped mountains to the east and coastal fog to the west. We had been able to do some easy riding in Bend Oregon last summer which he enjoyed, but I think this local ride got him hooked (I'm the biker in the family).

    I am really better- no pain other than normal 45 year old aches. Hooray!
    For all you roadies I will post a pic of my new bike soon. In the meanwhile here is a picture of the ride we took on New Year's. The trail starts at my house. The section to the left is about 6 miles on the street to get back home. We don't have many trees on our mountains. It's funny to see how some of the satellite pictures were taken when the hills were green.
