I think there's a ghost in my house

no really, but the pictures are a bit freaky.

I was taking pictures of my place to list it for rental during the Olympics.

First picture is "normal", the second has that spot I thought might be a reflection of the flash, but the other pictures don't have it. The third picture was right after the bright spot. Maybe my dog's come back for a visit?!?!?

Hmmm...and there are larger/lighter disks floating by the cabinet in the second picture as well.

    Is this an old house?

Yeah, I got one of those 'ghosts' too, in a photo of our bedroom....it's the thing that looks like a full moon on the wall, just to the right of the left hand window:

Well, if you gotta have a ghost, that's the one to have .

I once heard a moan in my old house. I was happy to not hear it a second time. Talk about creepy.

We have a ghost in our house. He mostly spends time in my daughters room. On more than one occasion I've gone in to find her there, sitting quietly on her bed. I ask what she's doing and she says "the man was keeping me company".
There was one night that 3 of us had encounters with the man, without knowing any one else had also.

But, here is the weirdest: We were vacationing in CapeCod and my husband lost his keys in the ocean. The problem was that he had the only copy of a key to our toyota. We went home a day later, and walked in the house throught the kitchen. The counter was completely clear. I walked to the end of the room and turned around...just in time to see the key drop onto the counter. The rest of the key chain has never appeared.

So weird! That's a nice ghost.

I had a strange thing happen last night. DBF and I went to dinner at a local restaurant which is believed to be haunted. Well, I've eaten there an bunch and never seen anything. Last night, though, when I got to the front door, I put my hand on the nob and someone was opening it from the other side. The latch pushed down, and the door pulled open. You know what's coming...there was no one on the other side of the door.

I'm jealous. no ghosts. ok, once while thinking of my recently departed father in law, i smelled roses in my bedroom.. but that's it.

for those of you who don't WANT ghosts, get a pet. all noises and movements can then be blamed on pets and you can sleep better knowing it was the cat or dog who made that strange noise.

I love all those benevolent ghosts.

I've heard that ghosts tend to go where they enjoyed being while alive, so they say most ghosts don't linger in cemetaries. And going by that theory, apparently golf courses are full of ghosts, lol.

One time I needed a place really quickly after coming home from a failed move across the country. They gave me a "deal"; I move in on the 15th and they won't charge me the rent as they can't move the furniture until the end of the month. They told me I could sleep on the bed that was there. I tried, but it creeped me out, so I slept on the floor.

Many of my electronics failed; my new toaster died, the fridge died, and I could never get a connection to the internet. And my cat virtually lived in the kitchen cupboard and wouldn't come out.

I didn't really feel a presence, but it was getting a bit ridiculous so I asked my landlord if something happened there, and she admitted that her mother died there. She apologized for not telling me and promised to do a smudging while I went to Japan to visit family. When I came back, I could feel the place being "lighter", and my cat was out and about. My landlord did say she felt that her mother moved on as well.

Getting back to my original post...

I guess a part of me WANTS to see or think there are spirits because I was hoping my dog would come back for a visit But knowing that animals and children often see spirits and neither of my cats reacted to anything, I'm pretty sure it was some freaky dust/flash combination.

LOL! My first gsd would walk down the hall, stop in front of the guest room, and start wagging her tail wildly as if she saw someone dear that she hadn't seen in a good while. I'd like to think it was my guardian angel she was visiting with.

Another interesting story.....I had an electrician install a new garbage disposal. I had everything laid out for him and the area was completely cleared for him to work. Upon completing the task we both checked to see if everything was in working order. The next morning I walked in the kitchen and looked down into the sink. There lay a dog treat right over the garbage disposal. We don't even have dog treats!

That works great, unless all the pets are in the bedroom sleeping with you and one of the cats looks down the hall with her "there's an ax murderer in the house expression"!
