Article re: Pro cyclists losing weight

Within the last 6 months to a year I read an article on how pro cyclists lose weight. The article said something to the effect that they didn't recommend their methods but they were just providing it for information. I may have read it in Bicycling magazine but I can't recall. Does anyone remember such and article and what issue of which magazine it was in? Thanks.

Jonathan Vaughters wrote such an article for Bicycling magazine in 2006, I think it was. You can look it up in the archived articles at http://www.bicycling.com, searching for "Vaughters" as the author...

Thanks PscyclePath but that gives me 50 pages of articles to search through. Anyone else have an idea?

A quickie Yahoo! search for "pro cyclists" & "weight loss" brought up these results:

    http://www.bicycling.com/article/1,6...5969-1,00.html

    http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/8514206/page/2/

But, I think you're thinking of RoadBikeRider.com's 29 Pro Cycling Secrets for Roadies, bonus feature entitled, "How Not to Lose Weight." Unfortunately, I am unable to cut and paste from the pdf. You'll have to go to www.RoadBikeRider.com and subscribe to their newsletter in order to read the e-book.

    Yikes!

I glanced a the bicycling link that mm provided and saw this:

    I LOST 20 POUNDS
    The Racer: Tom Danielson
    The Body: 5-foot-10, 130 lb.

    Good grief - 130 lbs on a 5'10" frame. That's nearly emaciated!
