    Costume runs?

Anyone doing any costume runs in the next two weeks? Me, my fiance and a friend are planning on doing one next weekend... I want to put together funny running costumes for me and the boy without buying anything because 1) we're cheap and 2) we have another party that night to attend but can't really run in the costumes so don't wanna spend more money.

so anyone else doing one of these? What are you going as?

My friend is going as a 'Runaway bride' and I think I'm going to be a cat burglar... not sure about the boy.. any suggestions??

He would be a hamster on a treadmill, maybe figure out a scooter and turn it into a a treadmill, while running and pushing on it along...sort of.

Or be an manifestation of words from a song "running on empty"..run around with an empty bucket..or be the bucket..

Or be "running wild"...a lion or a whole ark/zoo. Like a big moving finger puppet of animals.

    Ok, too wierd?

I saw a really cute bee that just wore black and used yellow duct tape to make stripes on her black tights and arms and had simple wings. She ran at our 10 km costume run this weekend and I thought it was great.

You can make wings by stretching panty-hose or tights over clothes hangers.

Pulling out your dated clothing can be a lot of fun too.

At my race last weekend a few of the ladies went all out with 80's fashion. It's been a while since I've seen so much color in one outfit!

I like the running animal suggestion... it sets off some sparks. I had a funny thought for a couple costume, kinda related, but it would require a bit of time and investment (not much, but too much for this year!). I might use it another year with The Boy. Anyone is free to borrow it... I thought it would be cute if a couple dressed as the tortoise and the hare, esp. if one was faster than the other! Maybe will dress the boy up in a bunny suit... my friend has a pair of white ears/bunny nose thing that wouldn't be too hard to run in, and I'd just LOVE to see my fiance in a pair of white tights with a pink tail!

Myself I decided I'll do the burglar... black tights, black t shirt, black gloves, a ski cap and black mask tied around my eyes w/holes in it. May or may not attach a small white sack with a $ sign on it to my waist. SO easy. Will post pics!

    Keep the suggestions coming...
