    Century nightmares and work

OK, so we did our second century and it went really well. I was understandably fatigued afterwards. So this is where my fatigue meets my neurosis. I dreamt that my legs were so fatigued that I couldn't press the brake pedal suffuciently to stop the school bus , and had an accident. Maybe it's time to ride for fun and stop training for something!

Completely agree - I just finished (last week) my second century. This one was however tough, it was considered hilly (for the area where I live) and since I ride fixed gear - I had to seriously train for it.

Well, last night I dream that I got into an accident and when I was in the ER, instead of bleeding, this red tough jelly was coming out. The doctors were telling me that because I train too much, I have too many red blood cells which are turning my blood from liquid to more jelly like substance! I HATE SEEING MY BLOOD THAT WAY

What a crack up! Just before I did my first half marathon, I dreamt that it started without me while I was in a cafe near the start. I ran out to start and wasn't sure WHERE to start exactly and my time was already going to be messed up and I was so frustrated.

    Funny, the dreams we have.

    Oh no! Save the children!

That's a funny dream! This is not cycling related, but I had a dream about my carpal tunnel surgery that I'll be having in a couple weeks. I dreamt while I was in the hospital my principal made me have my parent/teacher conferences in my hospital gown in bed at the hospital.
Luckily, my parent/teacher conferences will be held at school tomorrow- most certainly NOT in a hospital gown.

Our psyches must have so much fun with our inner thoughts when we go to sleep. And these are only the dreams we remember- think about all the really wacky dreams we must have that we DON'T remember. I shudder at the thought...

My dreams are wacked out anyway, but it was the first time I had combined biking and my job. Once I dreamt that I was told to go out and fly the plane to an island to pick up students ( instead of driving my school bus) and when I stated that I hadn't been trained how to fly planes, the boss said "just go do what you're told" !! And that's just an example. Usually it's more wacked than that.

After this last century, DH said I was bicycling in my sleep.
I can do five more miles.
