    My new frame/bike!

Here is my new bike that the shop owner "exchanged" for the one that has never fit me. I bought a new Specialized 38 cm bar with 130 mm drops and the Ultegra short reach levers. He transferred over al of the other components. He also gave me a new wireless computer, which I didn't ask for.
    It's a Kuota Kebel, XS.

Well, it's been a long road. I started the process in late June. Realistically, this is my fault, I should have done this right away. It's not that I was stupid, but I guess I was. I became complacent, made little changes, and just got busy. However, given the fact I am a totally non-technical person, I spent a lot of time learning things on this board and researching, talking to others. My husband does all of our mechanics and at first didn't really get what I was saying; but after I showed him some of the geometries of other bikes and components, we decided on a course of action.
I first went in the shop with my former exchange student, who is now a pro racer. Without me coming out and asking, the owner said he would do the exchange after we tried some other changes first. Of course, nothing would help the fact that the top tube was just too long! This shop caters mostly to serious riders and racers, with many esoteric brands; the only regular brand they sell is Giant. There's a bit of prejudice involved about small bikes, 650 wheels, WSD. But, he knew he better keep me happy because every time I am in there, I see someone I know, including local racers and several local physicians who ride. Also, I lead rides for one club and ride with another club, too. It wouldn't take too much for me to spread the word that you shouldn't go there. That was sort of unsaid, but he clearly saw what I would do, if needed.
I will be riding tomorrow, after TS Hanna is through here and give a report.
