    Review: Right-Fit Jeans

My daughter and I were out school shopping yesterday and we walked into our local Fashion Bug store. I guess they have this new sizing for pants and jeans called 'right-fit'. The sales gals were pretty excited about it, anyway.

We both ended up getting fit for these jeans (which consisted only of a waist measurement with a 'right-fit' tape measure). Jess is roughly a size 8 in normal clothes (she'll be 15 at the end of the month) and I'm a plus size. We're both pears, me moreso than her. I've never ever had a pair of jeans that fit nice in the hips and didn't gap in the waist, so I was skeptical.

Oh my goodness!!! We both love these jeans! This is the first time I've had a pair of jeans that I can sit down in and not worry about the waist going half-way down my rear! Jess looks awesome in hers, too!

After a quick google search this morning I found out that this sizing is now being offered by Lane Bryant, Catherine's, and Fashion Bug. The price is right, too, at around $24.00 (at Fashion Bug, anyway).

These are great jeans for pear-shaped women. I know I'm not the only one out there!

Ellen, is there some stretch to the jeans . . . spandex, or the like? What a great idea!

There are some with stretch and some without.

    From the article:

    oxysback,

This is the only link I could find for Right Fit Jeans: http://rightfit.com/find-your-right-fit.php

Are these the jeans your talking about? The online calculator thing is neat, but it looks like these jeans are for larger sizes only (the smallest waist size is 34"). ???

I have a horrible time finding jeans that fit . . . and whenever I do find them they end up going out of production!

Right now I'm liking the Old Navy "Flirt" jeans.

Yep, those are the ones. They carry them in Fashion Bug and Catherine's stores, also. The Fashion Bug stores have them in non-plus sizes. Not sure about Catherine's...I don't think we have those here in the PNW. I guess all three stores are owned by the same company.

I'm a blue, too. Post a review after you've tried them!

Yep, I'm in the same boat. My legs and rear make me a 12, but I have a 27" waist. Grrr!!!

Thanks to Knot - I have one pair of diamond gusset jeans, and they fit well...but they are too tapered at the ankle for my tastes.

I've been wearing Gap's curvy boot cut when I can find it. Or the Long and Leans in a bigger size with a belt.

I love Aeropostale jeans, both the Hailey and Bayla cuts. They have just the right amount of stretch in them, but won't get baggy after you wear them all day. My sister-in-law just got me a pair of Seven Jeans. I have to get them hemmed so I haven't worn them other than to try them on for size. She just raves about them and swears you can lose or gain 5 pounds and they still fit perfect.
