Thumbs down all work no ride

The program I'm working on is nearing completion in one phase and ready to go into the next. Unfortunately, this is a very busy time for me, dealing with my boss, dealing with other organization in the company and KEEPING the customer happy. (yippee!!!)

So the last few weeks, if I was lucky, I could sneak in a one hour ride. And all the weight I lost just came right back on with vengence. Having a customer's consultant camping out at my office for the last month has meant that I have to take him to lunch every day. He likes Thai. He likes quicky Greek place. And he likes Fish Taco place called Wahoos. (wahooooo!!!) And though I only eat half the serving, I'm still putting on the weight. The stress of keeping the consultant happy, the program on track, and keeping everybody happy is getting to me. And the engineers as usual are driving me bonkers. So I eat. I come home and graze on chips and salsa, cheese and crackers... food improves my mood.

I think I need a two week vacation and just go for a ride. And I just want to sleep in. none of this 6 hour or less sleep per night.

longing for a ride. GO for a ride!! cool breeze through my hair and on my face. cool breeze century. When is that? not soon enough...

Would like a new bike but can't justify the cost. The one I got works... still any bike would be nice to go out on a spin now... Oh mechanics and others agree, I should get a new bike. Suprise that!!

Fredwina, any picture of your ride? or how about Veronica, any pics?

Back to my work at home.

I know how you feel. With me it's been the stupid rain keeping me off my bike day after day. I'm working at my computer and EATING.

I'm with you in spirit Smilingcat. Since we closed on our house a month ago it's go to work for 9+ hours then come home and work another 5+, my bike is still at the old place and I'm starting to crave a ride like it's crack on two wheels!

To top it off, my honey and I just had a raving/ridiculous fight over the alphabetizing of CD's.

Oh, big calming hugs to you! Don't stress over the weight, that'll fall into place when things settle back down. Maybe suggest a place you like for lunch? Or just bring your lunch in. If this guy's been there for that long, I'm sure he can manage finding his way around and eating by himself. Even better, tell him you have to go for a ride during your lunch break.
