"Dirty" Roadie Girls in Wet Bike Short Contest

Gonna keep this brief, but remember the white short discussion? Fortunately it didn't rain that hard, but it did rain on the white short day of my rotation. They seemed to dry quick enough that it didn't soak through and show my goods to the world.

I do have to share pics though. I thought road riding meant doing away with my previous life of dirt and bruises. I thought I was supposed to be this zippy little goddess, not a dirty bruised up mess. I quit! Hee hee. Actually I have no idea where the bruise came from, and maybe next time I should head home when I have the chance instead of carrying on in the rain. No, had too much fun.

    Mmmm, road grime...

    Clean skin, for perspective.

I get pretty dirty when I ride on the highway. If the road is wet even more so.

Cars spray very fine dirty spray at you on the road when it's wet.

If only I had seen this thread yesterday, or this morning! I rode in pouring rain and ended up with a nice dirt line, much like yours, plus a splattering of larger mud blobs. Fortunately I wear black shorts all the time, and no white shirts!

Perhaps tonight I'll take a picture. It's supposed to pour rain here all day.

PS - The ultimate in road-dirt collecting: Sun block + a 97-degree humid day. Dirt, bugs, pollen, small dogs...everything sticks. It's really disgusting.

I just love the big black gnats that swarm and then stick to the sweat on my arms, legs and neck! I was like, oh black dirt... wait a minute! dead bugs! Ack!

I usually wimp out and stay home on hot, humid days. My husband is the one who tends to come home covered in dead bugs. It's a miracle I still love him after seeing him like that. Ewwwwwww....
