those are GENERAL figures. I'll bet a 60 year old who lifts weights has nicer muscles than that.

I can never figure out why, but the prospect of getting shorter has always bothered me. .4 inches every 10 years after 40?!? Yikes!

I didn't get any further than this:

Did you know that visual acuity begins to decline in your 40s?

Imma just pop my coke bottle bottoms on my forehead and stick the reading matter in front of my nose, will be able to read a newspaper for a looong way to come.

If I get shorter, does this mean that I can buy a new bike?

    I won't read it!!!
    I don't deny I'm aging, and I think I'm now five feet instead of 5' 1".
But... I do things today that I didn't do when I was 30 or 40. Sure, I am not the fastest rider (but I'm not the slowest, either), but I am riding, as opposed to most of the people I know who are my age and just sit around, complaining they are getting fat.
So what if I wear reading glasses? I've been very nearsighted since I was eight years old and that was worse. Now I get to wear stylish reading glasses over my contacts!

I don't need to wear any reading glasses yet (I'm 49)... and when it happens, there will be the typical problem I seem to have..which I don't like in myself..misplacing glasses...like misplacing my housekeys occasionally...which includes my bike lock key.

I'm prone to bad gums...but not prone to cavities...even though I have consumed more food with sugar in the past 15 yrs.
