Board Games - totally off topic

But I need some help. Can anyone give me the dimensions for a typical board game - the box - and for the board opened up? Like Monopoly, Clue and the like? Trying to design a storage closet and a game table of sorts for these things but I don't have any of the games to measure them.

    Thanks
    Martha

    Our Monopoly box is 10" w x 20" l x 2" thick. The board is 19" x 19 1/2".

Clue is about the same (but a thinner box).

Most of the others that we have aren't any longer or wider.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I had guessed about 2' for the boxes but just wasn't sure. All our games burned up in the fire so I had nothing here to measure. I'm trying to come up with a design plan to store the games and puzzles in built in drawers in a window seat, and need to be sure the drawers will be big enough for them, and that the window seat will be wide enough to set a Monopoly board on top. Once the house is finished (soon?) and then we'll start accumulating stuff like that again. You've saved me from having to drive 40 miles up to Walmart to measure them.

    Thanks again,
    Martha

Far, far, away..... in northern Michigan.

This is the house that was destroyed in the fire a last year. The rebuilding process has been exciting, and parts of it have even been fun, but gaining consensus on every selection has been more than excruciating. We are hoping for completion by Labor day, but I think it will stretch out a couple weeks longer.

Here's a couple of pix from my favorite bike ride up there on a not very sunny day and gives a pretty good idea of the typical traffic jams up there.
