    Trek Fuel Should I buy?..

I have been checking out craigs list here locally and there is this Trek for sale. I have inquired about size and hope to eventually test ride it. I have a Look 53 cm bike now but would like something with more "off-road" capabiliites.

I also have an older cataglog from trek that has this bike in it. It has not been ridden a whole lot either from what I can tell in the post.

What are any of your experiences with a bike like this? It has 3"-4" of travel and I have been looking those with 5"-6" of travel is this going to make a difference since this would be my "first" mtn bike?

Thankyou for your help and input.

    Thankyou Zen.

I know treks are VERY nice. I am in communication with this person so things are progressing at least.

The main item is the fit. If it does not fit, I will stop looking at that bike and move on. There are always more bikes out there.

han-grrl, funny that you mention mtbreview.com. I have been a frequent vistor to that site when looking at all of these bikes that end up being possibilites. Any more these days, that site has become part of the research.

I'll let you all know how the test ride goes when it comes this week or weekend sometime here.

    Thankyou,
