Pay Less had 6-packs of Gerolsteiner water.
Not bad! Tasty, with softer carbonation than Perrier.
I'm drinking it and thinking good thoughts for the rider who ran into the road furniture and sent his bike to the heavens in pieces.

I just watched that on Versus. Absolutely amazing, even though it didn't show how he landed. I do hope that he's ok. He finished the race as Lanterne Rouge, but he's gotta be darned lucky he wasn't carted off with a broken coccyx![]()
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."
David Desautels, in a letter to velonews.com
Random babblings and some stuff to look at.
I've wondered what Gerolsteiner was. Yesterday I looked up a whole bunch of team/sponsors names to find out what the products were that they sell. I'll share my findings.
Vittle= water
Saunier Duval= water heaters
Skoda= car
CSC= business and technology solutions
Silence-Lotto= Belgian lottery (ok- that was a no-brainer)
Cofidis= loans/credit
Liquigas= liquified gas products (duh)
Euskaltel-Euskadi= Basque telecom company
Credit Agricole= investment banking
Barloworld= industrial brand management company (don't know what that means)
Francaise des Jeux= French national lottery
Quick Step= laminate flooring
Team Columbia= just kidding, I know what that is (and I have lots of it hanging in my closet as proof)
Ag2R= French based interprofessional insurance and supplementary retirement fund group
Agritubel= worldwide provider and manufacturer of tubular metal products for cattle, livestock and farming
Lampre= pre-coated steel production
Caisse d’Epargne= French bank
Bouygues Telecom= French mobile phone company
I'll do more research tonight. I don't know why, but I've watched the tour for years and just this year I've decided I want to know what the sponsors sell.

For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
Actually Silence-lotto has two sponsors
Omega Pharma - makes Silence - ( an anti-snoring product) and predcitor - also makes Davitmon vitamins (the team used to be Davitmon-lotto in 2006) which product will they push in 2009?
Eusaktel - Eusakadi has two sponsors
Eusaktel is the telephone company - euskadi is the Basque Tourist Bureau
A couple of other sponsors
LCL (Le Crédit Lyonnais) another french bank - sponsor of the yellow jersey.(note that the malliot jaune gets a toy stuffed lion at the end of each stage?)
PMU(pari-mutual unon) A french company that runs a chain of off track betting parlors and sponsors the green jersey.
Champion- French supermarket company -sponsors the polka dot jersey. The polka dot colors comes from the previous sponsor - a chocolate company that made some thing like hershey's kisses - the winner would get his weight in chocolate at the end of each stage![]()
It always makes me snicker when I hear Liquigas pronounced "leaky gas".
Ok, I'm immature. Never said I wasn't![]()
