Oh disappointment, I thought I was going to hear all about your celebrations over there!

Maybe you don't celebrate it that much?

We're all too busy celebrating to be online!

No, I've had a really busy weekend, traveling, etc. On the 4th we were at my son's home about 150 miles from here. We didn't drive out to the lake to watch the fireworks. I was delivering to my son the Schwinn Le Tour that I rebuilt for him. It was a surprise, and he was SO thrilled. He and my other son rode bikes all around their little town square (where there was live music going on), while I hung out with my grandson. It was a low-key 4th.

    Thanks for the well wishes!

As it turns out neither day's fireworks were rained out, but it rained up until about 8:30 p.m. both days, and neither DH nor I had any interest in standing out in the rain waiting for the show.

So we stayed home and fixed frozen veggie burgers on the indoor grill. At least the potato salad was homemade (farmer's market new potatoes, homemade mayo, yum).
