I'm gonna run to you - week of June 30

I can't believe it! I did nine miles today. It wasn't pretty and it was slow. I walked twice - once around a big puddle in the trail - watering gone bad! The second time was while I ate a gel. I had to go past my house and finish off our hill to get that last .2 of a mile too. That sucked.

V...are you, by chance, getting conditioned to do a tri? Haven't heard of your latest endeavors so forgive me if you have to repeat yourself!

    My "run"

Two days post Triathlon. OMG I'm sore today!
Decided that sitting around again wasn't going to help. Got up and set out to do 5 miles. I ended up covering 5.5 miles, but had to walk a lot of it. The heat, and I was DRAINED! I hope this gets better soon! I have to do a 5 mile local race on the morning of the 4th. Ack! I'm going to stumble in last if I don't feel better by then!

Jes, it is HOT out. That and there's the delayed reaction of being sore and stuff.

V, 9 miles and only two walks? That is good!! Think about it, in a tri (or race) there are going to be water stops, etc. Unless you are really really really graceful, you are going to slow/walk a bit to walk or dump water over yourself.

No running since my tri on Saturday but I will tomorrow/today. (When I wake up, that is.) I'm actually kind of happy and excited over it all
