newbie rider (sort of) looking for riding buddy in far east contra costa county

Hey there,

I'm relatively new to riding and was wondering if there was anyone interested in riding on paved trails in east contra costa county?

I want to get in better shape and lose some weight by slowly increasing my distances (now I can go about 10-15 miles and that's a good workout for me).

Have you looked into The Delta Pedalers Club? They are a great club with a variety of rides, very friendly folks.

Also don't feel like you have to stick to the trails - Empire Mine Rd. is closed to traffic and a great ride.
