When you are adding a new post or replying to a thread, you will see a paper clip icon next to the smiley face. You can attach an image that way. You can also insert a picture using the icon that looks like a scenic mountain top. If you don't find what I'm talking about, let me know.

For this method, you need to have the photo stored on a photo hosting site like photobucket or one of the million others which you can find by a search of the forum.
Easiest way for me is to copy the [IMG] link from the hosted site and paste into my post.
For instance, this link (with a space inserted after the IMG so it won't actually work: yields the photo below.

I never knew about the paperclip there .... I insert pictures by typing my reply, then scrolling down below the "Submit Reply" button and clicking on the bar that says "Manage Attachments". From here, you can upload photos from your own computer OR from another URL photo place, etc. Looks like they both bring up the same screen so either way works.
