Red face Fell In Hedge And Disapeared From Sight

Hi to you all thought i would share this with you all as you have been so supportive to me. Today went for a ride with s/o, did 40 miles in 2 hours 51 mins which i was pleased at, but i did have to walk up one of the hills. Well as we approched the half way mark i got a wobble on the bike, put my foot out to steady myself on the grass verg, but alas i had a falling sensation, there was no verge, the grass, stinging nettles, brambles, and thistles were hiding a ditch not a grass verg, but me and the bike dissapeared into the jaws of the ditch, there was a car coming the other way and he must have thought he was seeing things as one min i was there the next i was gone, i couldnt move or get myself out, both bike and me had to be man-handled out of the jaws of the ditch. I could not stop laughing at myself. Got stung all down arms, thorns and thistle hairs stuck in my arms and bottom, what a state to get in.

Reminds me a bit of dirt diva's escapade with the holly. (You're in good company.) Glad you're ok.

I'm glad that it wasn't so bad that you are able to laugh about it. What a great image in my mind! Thanks!

Good to know that it isn't only the good 'ole USA that has killer woman eating ditches. Hope you are okay. I am still a little battered, but I learned an important lesson. Before putting your foot down to steady, make sure that there is something there to put your foot on! Kim
