Duck on Wheels will be visiting in June. Our parents worked in the Richmond Kaiser shipyard during WWII. I don't think Mom has seen the memorial. We are in the planning stages of a picnic combined with a leisurely ride on the Bay trail which is accessible from the site.
Stay tuned for times and date, gonna be one of the two dates mentioned above.

Uuuhhhhm, nope. Not gonna be one'a those dates after all. Unless we do it again one'a those dates. Which we mebbe could do. But for now, the picnic is planned for Sunday June 22, since that's the last weekend day that my DS and his GF will still be in CA this visit. The picnic is so far planned as a pretty open-ended thing -- folks coming and going as their schedules allow. We could easily handle overlapping picnic groups. It's a public park, after all. Idea so far is whoever gets there first (Trek: Wanna take bets on it being Dad's sister and BIL?) grabs a couple of tables and the "crowd" grows and shrinks around lunch-ish.
