Hey All -
Thought I would share my second road race ever resulted in a first place finish! It was 40 degrees and raining - the typical Northwest racing weather. The best part? My mom witnessed my first win and filmed the finish line on camera. At the 200m mark I started sprinting and looked back at 100m to go expecting someone on my tail - and no one was! I pulled through the finish line with one hand on the handle bars and stopped pedaling. And then my mom realizes it's me...

Way to go! How cool that your mom was there, I've never been at one of my husband's wins!
But...shudder...how CRUEL to show video of the Pacific Northwest! Auuugh I'm homesick now. :P
