New Here - Just Bought 2nd Bike - Addicted?

    Hello all!

First of all, I just wanted to say that I have never encountered such a great group of people who just wish the absolute best for everyone. I really think this is the best forum on the internet in any subject as far as a great community goes. You gals rock! (Can you tell I've been lurking?)

A little about me, I live in San Diego (currently), I am 4 days from graduation from SDSU, and I just started seriously riding in December; although I have been riding bikes most of my life.

My BF bought me a Giant OCR C3 for x-mas and I have been riding as often as I can on the weekends. Today I bought, well... paid for at least... my first serious commuter, a Masi Speciale Commuter. It should be in the shop and ready for me by the end of the week.

This forum has been a wealth of information and I look forward to more tricks, tips, advice and support!

Hi Katie! Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and new bike. So what are your career goals? Hopefully it will allow plenty of time for your rides.

Thanks for bringing this bike to our attention. This bike is only a single speed, but it comes with all the brazons and stuff to put a derailleur on it. Not only that, it has a steel fork. Sounds like a really cool bike! Is yours root beer colored too?

Thanks for the good wishes and admiration! My new bike is root beer colored. Gotta be honest, I really liked the orange on the other Masi Speciale, but the versatility of the Commuter won me over. And it is a really rich brown, so I am very happy with this color.

Sundial - I am taking a year off and then off to grad school in Boston for Publishing (that is the current plan, at least). And if I don't ride how am I supposed to relieve the stress?
