    Question Which movie tonight?

Tonight is my weekly S&M night, but I can't make up my mind! I did manage to narrow it down to 5 movies. Please vote and tell me why so I know if I shouldn't even waste my money.

I set the poll so you can vote multiple choice but the votes will be kept private to protect the innocent.

I'd wait for Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah to open.

Vanity Fair is good, even my hubby liked it.

OTOH, I'm in the $9.99 a month for all you can rent club that's not a new release so if something's a dog I just put it aside, no great loss.

Ray is still a new release up here, so I'll save my $3.99 on that one until it qualifires under my plan.

    S & M night? None of those movies are S & M.... (just kidding)

Depends on what mood you are in. Ray is inspirational and has great music. Sky Captain is an afternoon at the old-time matinee. More good music in De-Lovely. Mr. 3000 got awful reviews didn't it? Vanity Fair is a period piece and great if you are familiar with the story. I liked them all (didn't see Mr. 3000) but I'd vote for Vanity Fair as the best girl movie.

Ray! Talk about an inspirational movie. There were things about him that I never knew and to see his courage, not only in living his life as indepedently as he possibly could, but to allow all the ugliness And the triumphs to be exposed on the big screen...........left me awestruck.

and talking about acting, Jamie Foxx deserved every award he got for that performance.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

    What IS S & M night?
Exit to Eden might be a good choice , or 9-1/2 weeks.

Rosie O'Donnell is GREAT in Exit to Eden...

Shot & Movie Night - I get a weekly injection for my MS. 1st 3 months I had severe side effects about 5 hrs after getting the shot. The best way to deal with them was to come home, tuck myself into bed by 6, Bubba would fix me a bland dinner (which means no triple pepperoni pizza), then we watch movie. When the chills and fever started, I would, hopefully, be distracted by the movie. I had to stay in bed and not exert because any temperature change would trigger the chills. Even getting up to go to the bathroom would start them.

Thankfully, the side effects have been very minor for about the last 3 weeks. I'm still not ready to test the waters with normal activity levels (like a bike ride), but I have been able to delay the shot so what few side effects I do have can be slept through (with Tylenol PM) and I've even been able to knit all evening. This is a HUGE improvement. I think a few more weeks of this and I may even try being a bit more active. I did discover that the lingering effects on the following day can be chased away with a bike ride -- imagine that!

Thanks for the recommendation. Heck, it even has Dan Akroyd and Hector Elizondo. Sounds like a must try. Though it does sound like it has overtones of the other kind of S&M.

By the way, those of you who voted for Vanity Fair, have you seen "The Importance of Being Earnest"? The one with Reese Witherspoon, Judy Dench, Colin Firth and Rupert Everett? Hilarious period-piece! I get a fit of the giggles every time.
