Is this model too skinny for these?

or do these shorts really look this awful?

In my never ending quest for trail-type shorts I came upon these results from Performance

I can only hope these shorts don't really make you look like a six year old boy wearing his dads board shorts, Particularly these

Zen - I tend to agree. It looks like the shorts are about to fall off the model. That and I detest the dropped waist look, which doesn't help the appearance that the shorts are about to fall off.

Before I even looked at the second link, I knew those were the shorts you were talking about! Just awful...

I'm nowheres near that skinny (and note that the Fox sizing chart gives comparable dress sizes in juniors'), but I do favor that style of shorts for walking, boating, hanging around - they're just so comfy. I don't much care how they look when they feel that good and I'm wearing them for "ratty," sweaty activities anyhow. I've never worn a MTB style short with a liner though.

Those pictures are hilarious. Performance's store brand shorts run huge, in my experience -- I had a pair of size mediums that I could wear when I was five months pregnant, and immediately after I had my daughter, and now they are way too big for me. (And I am about a size 8-10.) Probably they just don't come in a small enough size for that model!

The model is too skinny AND the shorts are too baggy and ugly.
