Inspired by Mr. Silver & Silverson!

Well, I saw Mr. Silver wonderful new paint job in his bedroom and I loved it, so.... I finally got around to doing my poor drab bathroom! DH and I own a 1200 foot bungalow, which happens to be the only type of house that I am attracted to. It's not big and the bathroom is so small that even an apartment size tub won't fit.

So, only a stand up shower kit fits in. It had a real dirty cream color on the walls and wallpaper border that was peeling away for the walls when we first moved in, but I painted over it with a burnt sienna color. Big mistake, it looked awful. So, for two years I let the bathroom ride as is. The bathroom looked like it was bored. I really was being lazy about fixing it back up....

Until...Mr. Silver showed me the way!!!

Now we have a beautiful fresh peach with two stormy blue accent walls all trimmed in a gorgeous cotton blossom white. Got rid of old green towel bar, toliet and hand towel bar. Replaced with a new brushed nickle theme. Threw out the cheap closet door and going to replace it with a bar and a white curtin. Then I am stenciling morning glories on the top as a border under brand new cotton blossom trim.

DH loves it. He says the it looks bright and happy in there now. Of course, we can't forget that even if DH is happy with the look all of this still gets his brain saying, "cha-ching!"

Jen-Jen, how old is your bungalow? DH and I recently bought one in CO. Ours was built in 1921. It is really cool. So quiant. Our neighboor across the street has been in her house her whole life. She is in her 80s. She thinks we are the 4th owners. She said our house was a polling place during voting times. Pretty neat to have that kind of history.

Ours was built in 1950. It was designed along with a newer California style in mind. We have the beautiful built in the wall bookcases and hardwood floor that has seen better days! The heavy trim work and kickboards.

The people who built it went a little cheap on it, however, so DH and I are going to add the dormers and the stone work on the front porch. They also put all white trim and siding. We are going to paint it in the arts and crafts colors that the bungalows are famous for.

Congrats on your new home. I was always in love with this style of home.
