    Cycle Sport???

Ever since I ordered some jerseys from World Cycling, I keep getting email solicitations to subscribe to Cycle Sport magazine. I'm actually a little tempted; I'd like a cycling magazine but every time I buy an issue of Bicycling I end up disappointed, like there's no "there" there...

Does anyone subscribe to Cycle Sport? Has anyone purchased copies on the news stand? Opinions, likes, dislikes?

It still seems a little pricey even with the "great special offer" subscription rate, so I'd be disappointed if I went ahead and subscribed and then didn't like it.

    Thanks!

it's great, but only if you obsessively follow pro cycling (which we do). other than a bike review and a route review (european) in each issue there are no cycling tips or how tos. it is not remotely comparable to bicycling - 2 different animals altogether.

I love it. buy one at the newsstand first.

cycle sport covers the world of professional road biking. period. i love it, it's absolutely what i want, but if youre not a big pro racing fan there wouldnt be much for you in it.

    Ditto... Very Euro-centric too.

I have been pondering the same question about switching from Bicycling to another cycling mag, due to the various conversations on this forum. So I was curious and when I made a purchase from World Cycling I asked them to send me their most recent copy so I could compare.

As has been stated they are two very different mags. For me my competive days are over. I was a competive gymnast for 6 years as a kid. So the only thing I look at is cyclingnews and that covers it for me. I am in the recreational category now.

So for me Bicycling will work, even though it could be better in some instances. We will be getting a Barnes and Noble here in town eventually. I will have to crusie their mag shelves and see what they have. There might be no change.

I highly recommend Road Bike Action to everyone...

This is a magazine that just started last summer. It has lots of product reviews and good features. It does have a focus on the pros, but not as much as CycloSport. I love their pictures and reviews... It's a really accessible magazine, and the subscription is CHEAP!
