Has anyone raced in the Whiteface hillclimb? I know that it is an 8 mile race with an average of an 8% grade, anyone have anymore info?

Hi ridebikeme,
Here you go...

I rode the Highlander Cycle Tour last year which is in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The Highlander is a full day of MONSTER climbs. Over 11,000 feet of elevation gain over 100 miles. I highly recommend it. Here is the link to that site...

I did the Whiteface hillclimb run 2 years ago and loved it. The bikerace would probably be a lot of fun (if I remember right it looked like the pavement was in decent shape- and the grade was quite do-able).

From what i saw, I think superhero costumes would be a nice touch. Or sport mascot costumes. Or cheerleader outfits. Or anachronistic nurse uniforms.
