    My poor baby!!

So I was riding along yesterday and towards the end of the ride, something just did not feel right in the front end of my bike (it felt weird everytime I went over a little bump; almost loose). Now, I get a little paranoid about things. The other day, the lbs mechanic and I took apart a bike that had a poorly installed headset that literally ovalized the headtube, so now I'm a little paranoid about headsets.
Well, I get home and I tell bf what I felt and sho 'nuff yes the headset is a little loose. Upon further inspections, we discovered a CRACK in the headtube. I have never crashed or laid the bike down. Took it to the bike shop and they further reaffirmed our discoveries. I am now without. I only have one bike. I will get a new frame for free (through warranty of course). But Im now a little more paranoid. Do I have a good bike? Do I get a different bike? What do I do without my bike to keep up the work? I have been training to start racing this year and racing here has already started. Oh what to do what to do!
Sorry for the length, just venting the frustrations.

Perhaps your LBS can loan you a bike while your new frame comes in. It may not be as good as your bike, but it'll be good to keep riding. Just make sure it fits okay.

So sorry about your bike. What kind is it?

It's a Felt F3. I was just about to upgrade the crankset from Ultegra to Dura Ace. Now, I'll have to wait.

missmaya-when you do start to race let me know where you will be. I am going to be at most of the FPS races!

Sorry about the crack, cracks happen! I know people who have had them in pretty much every brand(giant,crackendale...oops i mean cannondale, trek, etc.) Use the warranty and hope it doesn't happen again is all I can really say- it isn't specific to just one company.

While off the bike, swim and run if you can- also incorporate plyometrics into your day and go to spin classes. But I would suggest swimming as the #1 option for cross training while off of the bike.

    Now that CRACKed me up

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
