    February Mileage Goal

This month my goal is 538 miles. That's going to be hard to achieve for a whole host of reasons.

I fell short in January, so I had to add the shortage into Feb. goal. I wish the storms would stay away! It can rain at night only!

    feb. mileage goal

Mine should be at that or at least 400 miles.
I am transitioning from running season, to biking...MS 150 in April and my friend/training partner is doing Bike Ride Across Floriday (160 miles one day). But with being out of town the first weekend in Feb and one last running weekend with an 1/2 marathon, the next...I am running out of time. Wonder if 300 miles is too far out of reach? (And I can't even blame the weather!).

Well, I go back to work on Monday
That is going to impeed any mileage goals.

So this month I am aiming for a minimum of 380km on the road which is the same as Febraury 2007.
Ideally though I would like to reach 400km, which is only 100km a week - that should be achievable.

V... those storms will disipate (sp?) and soon you will have magnificent days with lots of opportunity to ride.

Kat... thats a solid goal for your transition phase... positive "I can do it" thoughts coming your way

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

As I said in the other thread, I'm incapable of making mileage goals! I have no idea what to expect and I typically make my training plan on a weekly basis with daily tweaks...lol.

I have my first double of the season in two weeks, but with that, I'll be tapering the week before and recovering the week after. I imagine my mileage will be lower in Feb than it was in January (648) because of that.

I'd love to get back on my 200 mile/weejk schedule with a Diablo ride once a week. We'll have to see what the weather brings us in February.

For now, if I can get in 600 miles I'll be a happy camper!

Hmm I am aiming for around 1000. I have been riding off of time though and not miles(haven't even put the computer on the new bike yet ) so we will see. Lets say that the goal is really 68 hours this month.

    trainer

I've no idea how to gauge the km's cycled on a trainer but i think there's a thread out there waiting for me to do my search on it..

Anywho, my goal for feb is based by time on the trainer & what i do whilst on it. I aim to add 10 min each week during the month of Feb. I'd like to have enought power (in my right leg) to be able to stand out of the saddle & push my right leg right round. The world is not flat and there are some small hilly bits that i will face on my outside rides.

So by the end of feb, i should be @ 1hr on the trainer.

I will keep swimming 3x's a week, walking 45min @ the beach, pilates, deep water running & home based exercises to get me there

    Fell a bit short

Sadly, I did not make my goal of 500 but I got close. I logged 258 miles on my trainer and 178 outside for a grand total of 436 miles. Now if the temperatures would only warm up so I could put my trainer away for an extended period of time.

Well, I managed 626km. Lots of commutes in there. Hopefully I can get a few more fun rides in in March, but life is so busy busy at the moment I tend to be exhausted by the time the weekend rolls around.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.

754 miles here! I didn't really have a goal except for "a lot"! I'm looking to go over 800 in March since the days are longer & the weather is nicer
