I attended the Women's Beginner Camp in Asheville last spring. I was pleased with my experience. It was 2.5 days. Even though I am an experienced cyclist I learned a few things that have been extremely helpful. The coaches were accessible and sincerely open to suggestion. In our case, we had a field test the first morning (done climbing and performed twice to check repeatability of results) followed by ascending/descending skills practice in the afternoon. This was a little too much especially if you had really performed all out on the field test in the morning. A recovery ride would have been more appropriate for the afternoon. They listened and changed the schedule for the future. The camaraderie among this particular group of women was phenomenal. We immediately began talking about a follow-up camp for 2008 and if you look on their camp schedule it is the Women's Spring Training in Brevard. I allowed my husband pay this year as a present for my 50th birthday! My colleagues at work joke about Susan and "this one time at bike camp" ... anyway, I would highly recommend one. YMMV and I've had CTS coaching since 2004.
