    Patches

I have recently started wearing a patch form of HRT and they do not want to stay on during workouts. Does anyone have any experience with patches? My doc said they are designed to stay on during exercise and swimming, but as soon as I start sweating they are history!

Nope, sorry! I tried everything to keep my patches on, with very little luck. I finally switched to EstroGel transdermal topical gel.

can you place it somewhere that it won't fall off, like under your sports bra or shorts? barring that, is this a patch you replace daily? if so, just put the new one on after your daily workout.

I tried the patch and after 6 month or so??? I developed an alergy to the adhesive. So now I use estro Gel (estradiol gel). after a shower pump it once and slather the gel on my left arm and let it dry.

I didn't like the patch with a sticky thing on my midriff. And it never stayed on for a week. I don't know how it supposed to stay on for whole week. I think my rash started as a sweat rash under the patch. They don't breath. and sweat accumulates under the patch and irritated my skin.

I just don't think patch will work on very active women.
oh the gel is not the same as the estradiol creme (vaginal creme). Check with your doctor.

so no help with patch but an alternative

Thanks, everyone. I thought it was just me! They are supposed to stay on for 3-4 days, but one workout and I'm taping them back on with band aids!
    I'll ask about the gel.
