OK you tri regulars, anyone figured out their race schedule for '08. I know some of you are doing IM. Lets here what those schedules are.

And what about your race schedule, Ms. Wahine?? Any more first place IM finishes for you this year???
So far I have this:
March: short course duathlon
April: half mary
June: oly and a HIM (probably Kansas 70.3 or Buffalo Springs 70.3)
June: IM training starts
July: off road duathlon, with an on road du the next day
Sept: HIM
Nov: IMAZ
I'll probably do a couple sprints here and there, but not totally sure about those.

Cervelo P2C (tri bike)
Bianchi Eros (commuter/touring road bike)
1983 Motobecane mixte (commuter/errand bike)
Cannondale F5 mountain bike
No IM for me this year. I'm not sure what I'll do. My running coach wants me to focus on speed and race at shorter distances. I'm thinking I might try to do 2 HIM this season and shoot for a good long course ranking in USAT and TriNorthwest. But no specifics yet. That's why I'm asking. I need some motivation to make me think these things through.

I've only got a couple so far, hopefully I can coincide some small races with several of my friends' out of town weddings I have to attend this year.
Jan: (tentative) Chilly Cheeks 7.25 mile trail race
Feb: (tentative) Ugly Mudder 7.25 mile trail race
March: (tentative) Mt. Penn Mudfest 15K trail race
April: wedding in Dallas/Fort Worth area, maybe I can find a small race down there then...
May: 500 Festival Mini-Marathon in Indy
June: Philly Olympic Tri
Nothing after that in the works, but probably some bike stuff in the late summer/fall and possibly another sprint or maybe even olympic tri depending on how the first one treats me....
K.
I am working on mine...
Three tri's in a cluster...May 18, June 15 and June 29
Break.....
Mt biking in August and September....
Nationals??? Will I qualify? Will I go? I said no after last September and then I got the race DVD in the mail....hmmm....
Early season a few trail runs and an off road du in March.
I have to do 4 mt bike races for fufill my team responsibility so I am hoping for two early and two in the fall.
Some of the race dates are not posted yet, so I am waiting to firm it up.
Dare I post this stuff before I've even been in the pool?
What the heck, here goes.
• Bare Bones Duathlon in May
• 5k run in June
• Possibly an 8 or 10k race midsummer
• If I'm lucky, the Apple Sprint Triathlon Aug 18/19
• If running is going well, 10km or half marathon in Oct.
And I just read about a women's triathlon in July that has the swim in a pool. Might be good for my first tri. It's in Alberta though. I'll think about that one.
Whoo hoo!

My podcast about being a rookie triathlete:Kelownagurl Tris Podcast
Jan: Carlsbad 1/2 marathon
March: oly (March series)
May: oly (Wildflower)
June: Camp Pendleton Mud Run (10k)
July: Vineman 70.3 (if I can work up the courage to sign up soon!)
Oct: Mission Bay sprint tri
I'm sure I will be adding to this, particularly in Aug/Sept, and I'm thinking about a sprint in Feb.
February 10k Snow Shore Race
April 5k Trail Run
May 1/2 Mary, 13 mile mtb race
June Block 58 Olympic Tri--A race
July Summer Groove 12-hr Adventure Race
August XTerra Tri--A race
September 1/2 Mary
I just got the Triathlete's Training Bible and am working on putting together a schedule. I'm excited to have some direction in my training. My goal is to kick the XTerra's butt as opposed to the other way around. Last year I had to walk the last 3 miles. That won't happen again.
Froglegs, we'll be @ Wildflower, too. We won the old ladies' oly relay so we have to go back and defend out honor. We might do Vineman again as a relay, too, but I'm having a hard time fitting it into my calendar.
Okay, since I'm entering the world of multi-sport this year, I'll share my goals. Of course, many of these are events I'm coaching so my own performance will be secondary.
Jan 5th -- New Year's Duathlon (Folsom Lake)
Feb 5th -- MTB Duathlon (Folso Lake)
March 15th -- MTB Duathlon (Folsom Lake)
April 12th -- Granite Bay Duathlon (road)
May 4th -- Wildflower Olympic Relay
June 7th -- Summer Duathlon #1
July 12th -- Summer Duathlon #2
August 2nd -- Summer Duathlon #3
August 24th -- Luna Fest Duathlon (or maybe a tri)
September 27th -- Clif Bar Team Challenge or Tinley's Dirty Advantures (tri)
November 1st -- Salmon Duathlon
In the bike racing world, I've got 12 mtn bike races and about 10 road races too, so it'll be a busy year for me!
Not sure. I have thought about it, but...
The race I could do in March... I have to travel for... which means $$$ and time off work. So I think maybe no.
The race I wanted to do in April... it's the weekend I'll be in Arizona cheering on people at IMAZ.
Otherwise... I do know that I'm doing Ironman Kentucky in August!![]()
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside thoroughly used-up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!!"
My schedule is still in flux but will be something like:
April: sprint tri (registration opens tonight)
May: charity ride
June: Tour de Cure charity ride (registered)
July: sprint tri (registration opens tonight)
August: Iron Girl sprint tri
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

2011 Trek Madone 5.5/Cobb V-Flow Max
2007 Jamis Coda/Terry Liberator
2011 Trek Mamba 29er
This is what I have and I think this is fairly solid. Some were wavering because I didn't know if I could swim the Oly distance... but I've really come along in my swimming in the past couple weeks. Something just clicked and it seems like I could go forever now!
April: 62 mile bike ride
May: 1/2 marathon
June: 2 sprint tris
July: Lifetime Fitness Oly tri
Aug: Oly tri and possibley another Oly or a sprint. Not sure if I am going to do the second one or not.
Then September and October I'll do some running races, 5K's and 10K's mainly. Maybe a duathlon if one pops up somewhere.
