Hey all! I'm in the market for a portable maintenance stand. I've had trouble in the past with friend's stands not being very stable. Does anyone have one they like? Or hate (because then I'll know what not to get!)?
Thanks!

I was looking more for a stand like techs use so that I can start working on my bike. I'm riding enough now that it doesn't make sense for me to take it into the shop once a month! Plus, I think it would be fun to learn how to work on my bike.
I'm looking for something like this:

There are just so many to chose from, I don't really know where to start!
Hiya
I love my Topeak portable stand. Fairly stable & soooo light. Takes up very little room & really nicely made (comes with a shoulder sling bag too)
Cheers
We have this one:

It is VERY sturdy, especially with the three feet that spread out evenly. No problem even when you accidentally bump into it. Folds up neatly.
A quick release allows you to take your bike out quickly, too. Fully adjustable in all directions and heights.

I have this one and like it a lot:

We have another Park workstand that clamps onto the seatpost but because my bikes are smaller unless I move the seat post up they wont fit onto the clamp as is.
The stand was a present from my husband and makes life a lot easier for me when I need to do some maintenance on my bike.![]()

The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
