    Weekend runs - Oct 6 to 0ct 7

    What the........!!!!!

No thread for the entire week. What happened? Is everyone OK or have you all keeled over from end of season chronic fatigue?

Well, I needed to find someplace to post this. Since there was not run thread for the week....

I'm getting ready to go out for a run. This will be my first run (apart from a couple of slow fun runs to get DH going) that can count as training. And guess what.... I'm nervous. I'm nervous about a silly training run. More nervous than I ever am before a race. Odd, isn't it. Well, I'm pushing the butterflies in my stomach down and heading out the door.

Happy trails everyone. And Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian gals out there!!

I've been nervous on bike rides (training) so I can relate.

This morning I ran 2 1/2 miles. This past week I did 11 miles! My longest day was 5 miles and my shortest was just a quick mile when I had time. I reached a milestone (as it were) in my running; I can go 2 1/2 - 3 miles without walking! Once I reach that point, I go to the run 4 minutes walk 1 routine while I build endurance.

Have a great run The weather is kind of nice for running even though it's cold.

It was perfect running weather and I managed to log about 5.5 miles. I guess I didn't forget how to run after all. Now I have to find something to eat and get ready for HopsFest!!.

Well I walked 2km with the school running club on Tuesday and again on Thursday. Still can't run, still have lumpy knots of muscle in my calf.

First Snow Run of the Year!!

Well, Shiraz did the City of Trees half mary in Boise today...good thing it wasn't yesterday since it snowed/rained! Hopefully she'll post and let us know how it was. Looks like the weather was just about perfect.

I did a short run with the Sunday Ladies down low this morning (about 5000' elev) and then my buddy called a little later and wanted to go for a long run/hike up high in the snow. It was more of a run, and it was quite fabulous. Fall colors--WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!--and about 6" of snow at the ridge where we turned around (about 9000' elev). White, gray, brown, red, orange, yellow, black, purple, green, more yellow, more red, more orange, and a blue, blue sky. It was like being in a box of crayons. We got first tracks up high...most hikers didn't make it that far. Not too terribly cold, either, probably in the upper 30s.

A day late... It was a gorgeous day yesterday. I went out and did an hour-and-a-half trail run. The aspens are changing colors. The trail was nicely packed since it snowed the other day. It was beautiful!
