    First clipless ride!

Woo hoo! My Speedplay Frogs finally came so I put them on my bike last night and went for a short ride. I'm still alive - I think I'm gonna like these things! So now I'm just feeling super cool.

As opposed to me. I had my clipless pedals put on today and just went outside thinking I should try taking her for a spin. All I can say is......I'm going to need a LOT more first aid accessories! I promptly came back inside to clean up the blood with some hydrogen peroxide and ponder this situation overnight before venturing out again tomorrow morning.

    Congratulations, HeatherErin!!!!!!!! You did good!!!!!!

Congrats on the pedals!! So much fun..and super cool! Although, it can be a bit scary..I spent some time in a parking lot clipping in and unclipping to get the hang of it. I still fell several times...actually, every once in while I still fall.

Congrats on going clipless. I only did it about a year ago and have never looked back--love my Speedplay Froggies!

The best advice I got about going clipless was to practice on a hard-packed dirt or grassy area if you can. Cuts down on the bloodletting!

That and plan ahead - if there's a stoplight, stop sign, or slower riders ahead I tend to unclip one foot just in case.

I think we've all done the requisite "coming to a light and simply forgetting" fall. It's a 2 second fall that feels like it takes 5 minutes.

Woohoo though! That is a HUGE milestone
