    Lake Stevens HIM?

Did a search for this, but wasn't successful...

Have any of you done the Lake Stevens WA HIM...or 70.3...or whatever the correct translation is?

Was it well run? Good course? Appropriate for a first try at that distance?

Do you mean that you could not find any info on it?

    Here's the site:

Looks like a pretty neat course. If I were closer, I might like to try it myself.

A person from my gym was going to do that one. If I see her, I'll ask her how it went

Starfish, you truly thinking about doing it next year?

No, I did find the website (but thanks anyhow )...but, I was curious to hear if any TE women had done it, and how they felt about how well it was run, what they thought of the course for a beginning 1/2 IM, etc. More the personal TE comments!!

    Thanks!!

You know what? I think a friend's husband did that! It was his FIRST tri, also. Crazy....I'm sure it was that one. She watched it (and is tri experienced) so I'll see if I can get both opinions.

Hey, thanks. I also just realized there is a yearly HIM and Oly, too, down in Bend OR. That's close, and I always like to plan events where there is likely to be more heat and sunshine. I try not to schedule events in Western WA if I can help it. But, Lake Stevens is CLOSE!

Edited to add: I know it might sound fairly audacious to consider an Oly or HIM as a goal without ever having done a Tri (although I am talking 2 years out). But, for some reason, it is dreaming about the bigger distances that tend to get me excited enough to try stuff.
