    Creating a jersey w/ a personal photo?

    Hi-
Does anyone know of a place that will make a special jersey with a photo on it? I want a jersey with a photo of my sister-in-law, who died of cancer, because I ride in her honor. But I haven't had much luck finding a place that will do it. Most require a large order, and I only need two jerseys.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Just an odd thought...what about purchasing a plain coloured jersey & having the picture sewn in/on??

Ummm..i'll keep thinking but hopefully someone else might chime in with better ideas

This is a great idea! I'd love to have a jersey with a picture of my brother on it, I started riding seriously after he died.

When I ran the marathon, I went to a little t-shirt shop in town. They had tech shirts, on which they printed a picture of my dad, and the words: I Run With My Dad, Ted Hauser, 1930-1965.

It was wonderful to run in that shirt. So many people talked to me about it (I'm a slow runner. You can have quite a conversation with me while I'm "running" ) It meant a lot to me. I felt like my dad was truly with me.

The shop is called Propaganda, in Chicago. I have no idea if they do mail orders.

    Good luck--Lise

    ditto

I was going to suggest Lise's option - if you have the picture many t-shirt places can do a print on a shirt of your choice. i know one place i worked for had some sugoi jerseys printed with the logo from a tshirt place.

Did you get a jersey done?

I design jerseys for my club and we have used Louis Garneau custom as well as Castelli Custom "Squadra".

A bit pricey and I believe you have to have a minimim # to order.
Google custom cycling jerseys. I know there are some out there that just do a few pieces.

I have ridden with pictures and tributes pinned to my jersey and seen justa bout every idea imaginable at some bike events. One guy fastened a pic to his top tube so it hung down.. it looked great.

    Good luck- Julie

I had custom jerseys (2) done for this last century I did, by my local silkscreening/embroidery place.
Often they have a minimum, but if you explain what you are doing, they might be more willing to let you do one or two.
Especially if you offer to give them more business (for us, we told them we would give them our business for any future jerseys, t-shirts, hats, stuff like that.)
I can do five more miles.

I have done iron-ons with this paper you can get at most office suppliers, but have only done them on sweat- or t-shirts.
