Anyhoo, the race was interesting. Different because they dove into the lake and did 2 loops (similar to an IM distance race)... and the bike was drafting legal. I also liked how the entire transitions area was carpeted. I know I hate running barefooted across gravel parking lots. Boy, that would be sweet at one of my tri's.
I think it's nuts how they all just passed out or got pulled off the course. I know they were working hard... but dang, what about nutrition of some sort? There is something wrong if you can't finish a 6 mile run and you fall down on the course. You aren't taking care of yourself nutritionally out there.
