according to the Western States Ride Calendar, the only "orgainzed" century is Cool breeze, which sells out. It's usually too hot for a lot of folks to do that distance.

Oh, man, now THAT looks like a ride I would love to do. I am NOT a morning person, and one of the hardest things for me about organized rides is that because I'm not fast, yet, I have to get started so blasted early in the morning.
That ride looks amazing. I'm putting that on my "someday" list.

I rode Cool Breeze in 2005 and it wasn't hot that year...
I think it hasabout 6000ft climbing and AMAZING scenery... when you climb to the top of Montecito you can see out to the ocean... amazing! Then you come down and ride right along the ocean for a while...![]()
