If Regina mentioned this somewhere, I totally missed it. I recently picked up the June issue of Spokes magazine, a free cycling publication available at various LBS's, "Serving Cyclists in the Mid-Atlantic States." Imagine my surprise to be perusing an article titled "What is so special about women only rides?", focused on women's mtb'ing, and get to the following:
Regina commutes to work and regularly does weekend coed road rides. She recently went on a Ride Like a Girl mtb ride and commented that "It really boosted my confidence, which had been lacking after three years of chasing fast guys through terrain that was too hard for me. As I told one of the women on the ride: 'It's just what the doctor ordered' for me to feel good about my mountain bike again."
Deja vu, considering we had a similar conversation at lunch today, after the DC Tour rideHave you gotten the latest Spokes, Regina?
