I'm a new biker...and a volleyball player...sometimes I feel like I should be wearing knee pads on my bike(I wrecked the other day and bruised and skinned my knee pretty bad) are straps or clips better? Can I ride without either? I'm looking to finish races and keep up in practice, other than that I don't care too much about my speed. Thanx for any advice
