    I Have True Love...

and a butt that's worth $180! That's what my honey said.

I have lots of pairs of short, but not many that I can do a double in, in fact only one pair. The shorts I wore yesterday put my butt to sleep before I reached the summit of Diablo. I was dithering about spending so much money for a second pair of shorts. Thom is quitting his job in a week...

And he said, "Just do it, your butt is worth $180." Ahhh... love!

It's a third pair of the Louis Garneau Airstreams.

Last year for my first two doubles I wore a pair of these and they were fabulous. They were a size Large though and I think over the summer I became a medium.

I got a pair of the medium LGs and wore those for my double two weeks ago. I got some chafing about 160 miles into it. But that's way better than numb butt in my mind. I don't usually use chamois butter so I'll try that on my next ride, maybe after the first hundred miles.

I've got a pair of Assos knickers that I like a lot. But I think I'm sort of between sizes. They're a large and the chamois doesn't stay put.

Poor Thom has had to listen to me debate shorts and chamois for the last 24 hours.
