I realized to today that I had worn holes into my pearl izumi biking gloves. I bought them in the begining of last summer, so they are about a year old. I know gloves are probably the least expensive part of cycling (aside from the tap water I fill my water bottle with), but I'm really disappointed, especially from a such a well known brand. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone reccomend to me a sturdier pair of gloves that won't have holes worn into them?

I bought a pair of Pearl Izumi's ($55) in summer of 2005, wore them for six months, and the gel pads peeled loose and fell off. Wore holes in the places were there were no pads, too. I also have a pair of Bell gloves I got at WalMart for $15; got them in 2004 and I'm still using them today (although they're finally beginning to wear out). They were very comfy right from day one. No more Pearl Izumi's for me.
That and they hurt when I wiped my nose with the back.
